Toni Loomis, with a passion to assist others and currently employed as a social worker, found herself caught in the business decline of the 1980s. Knowing that her job was coming to an end, and knowing that the workplace held a large number of competent individuals with skills and passion similar to their own, Toni had to become very resourceful in obtaining employment.In this interview with Toni, she shares how a friend of hers assisted her in finding a new direction-a direction from employee to entrepreneur. This shift she made in the 1980’s has resulted in her learning and growing in areas she never would have conceived, and in her obtaining greater flexibility and command of her own life.
What Toni dealt with in the 1980’s is not unlike what many individuals are dealing with today as we face a similar downturn in economy.
